Yes. Upgrading takes effect immediately — you get the higher plan's limits straight away, with the price difference billed from your next cycle, not charged upfront. Downgrading takes effect at your next billing cycle rather than immediately, and is blocked if your current usage exceeds the lower plan's limits until you bring it within them.
We'll automatically retry the payment a few times. If it's still unresolved after 7 days, your account moves to a read-only state — you can still see all your data, but can't add new projects, subcontractors, or documents until payment succeeds. Nothing is ever deleted for a failed payment.
